About AP Exams

AP Exams are administered each year during the first two weeks in May.  All students enrolled in an AP course are strongly encouraged to take the corresponding exam. Benefits include:  earning college credit and/or advanced placement into upper-level courses at college, enhancing college applications, and earning academic recognition.  At Orono High School, over 95% of students enrolled in AP classes take the corresponding exam.

Registering for AP Exams

Students must register/pay for AP exams by November 1 to avoid late fees*. 

The 2024 AP exam fee is $75.  Fee assistance is available and can be requested during this registration process. *Beginning on November 2,  OHS will assign a late registration fee of $10 per exam. In addition, the College Board assigns a late exam ordering fee of $40 to each exam ordered after November 15.

2024 Exam Ordering Deadlines:

• Regular registration Window - September 5 - November 1 

• Late Registration Window - November 2- November 10

• Waitlist Registration -November 11 - March 10 

• NO EXAMS CAN BE ORDERED AFTER MARCH 15, 2024. 

Join AP Classroom

In addition to registering/paying for your exams here, students must enroll in AP Classroom for each AP class they are taking.  AP Exam orders can not be placed unless you are enrolled in AP Classroom.  Most students have already done this in their AP class (s).  Students will be asked to verify enrollment in AP Classroom at the end of this registration.
