Hillgrove High School's AP Policy

Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by this school and the College Board:

After 11/13/23, all changes to Fall class registrations, either adding an exam or canceling exam(s), will be charged a $40 fee for each exam change per the College Board Policies for 2024 exams.

  • No student will be admitted to an exam room once the exam has started. (Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled exam start time.)
  • During scheduled or unscheduled breaks during exams, students are not allowed to consult textbooks, notes, or ask questions of teachers or other students.
  • Electronic communication devices are not permitted in the exam room nor may students use them or have access to them during breaks.
  • Students may not leave the testing room during the exam except in an emergency, and students must remain in the testing area during breaks.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

  • No. 2 pencils (no mechanical )for multiple-choice answer sheet
  • Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams
  • Calculators - If you are allowed to use a calculator on your AP Exam, review the College Board’s calculator policies to make sure you bring an acceptable calculator for your particular exam.

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

  • Electronic equipment or communication devices, like cell phones, smartphones, smartwatches, tablets or anything else that can access the internet.
  • Cameras or other photographic equipment
  • Watches that beep or have an alarm
  • Food and drinks are not permitted in the exam room, including bottled water; however, you are encouraged to bring a snack for your break and place it in the break area.
