Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by this school and the College Board:
- No students will be allowed admittance to exam rooms once exam has started.
- During scheduled or unscheduled breaks during exams, students are not allowed to consult textbooks, notes, or ask questions to teachers or other students. Do not use electronic or communication devices during breaks.
- Do not leave the building during the exam.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:
- Fully-charged School issued Chromebook (28 exams are on-line this year!)
- Two sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers, for all responses on your multiple-choice answer sheet.
- Two pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams.
- A watch that does not have internet access, does not beep, and does not have an alarm.
- Up to two approved calculators with the necessary capabilities if you’re taking the AP Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, or Statistics Exams. - A ruler or straightedge only if you’re taking an AP Physics Exam. Protractors are not allowed.
- If you don’t attend the school where you’re taking the exam, you must bring a current government-issued or school-issued photo ID.
WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:
- Electronic equipment (phones, smartwatches, or wearable technology of any kind, laptops, tablet computers, Bluetooth devices, portable listening or recording devices—MP3 player, iPod, etc.—cameras or other photographic equipment, devices that can access the internet, separate timers of any type, and any other electronic or communication devices) are prohibited in the exam room and break areas. School-owned and -controlled digital recording devices are allowed only for the AP French, German, Italian, and Spanish Language and Culture Exams, and the AP Music Theory Exam.
- Books, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, pencils that aren’t No. 2, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes, or colored pencils.
- Scratch paper; notes can be made on portions of the exam booklets or, for Chinese Language and Culture and Japanese Language and Culture only, on scratch paper provided by the proctor.
- Watches that beep or have an alarm.
- Computers or calculators as previously noted.
- Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions.
- Ear plugs.
- Clothing or shoes with subject-related information.
- Food or drink.
- Clipboards.
CCHS AP Late Testing Policy
Students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses are expected to take AP Exams during the regularly scheduled test dates established by the College Board. Late testing will only be approved for circumstances recognized by College Board guidelines and approved by school administration/AP Coordinator.
Approved Reasons for AP Late Testing (No Additional Fee)
Students may qualify for an AP late exam in the following situations:

Participation in a school sponsored academic contest or school-sponsored academic event

Participation in a school sponsored athletic contest or event

Conflict with an IB or Cambridge exam

Conflict with a nationally, state-, or province-mandated assessment

Delayed exam shipment

Digital testing logistics issues
-
Disability accommodation issues
-
Emergency situations such as a bomb scare or fire alarm
-
School Sponsored High school graduation activities
-
Language lab scheduling conflicts
-
Approved makeup exam due to an incident during the original AP exam
-
Religious or holiday observance
-
School closure due to election, national holiday, weather event, or natural disaster
-
Serious injury, illness, or family tragedy, with documentation provided
-
Strike or labor conflict
-
Required student court appearance
-
Two or more AP Exams scheduled at the same date and time
Athletic and Activity Clarification
For athletic or activity-related late testing requests, the following expectations apply:

The event must be officially affiliated with Corner Canyon High School or sanctioned through the school district or Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA).

The student must be an active participant in the competition or event at the time of the conflict

Students who are traveling with a team but are not actively competing, participating, or rostered for the event will not qualify for late testing.
Request and Approval Process

Students must notify the AP Coordinator and/or school administration as soon as they become aware of a testing conflict.

Except in the case of an unforeseen event, the AP testing Coordinator must be notified before the original test date.

Documentation may be required to verify eligibility for late testing.

Approval for late testing is determined by the school AP Coordinator in accordance with College Board policies, AND also in accordance with the School policies, per administration.
