Clovis North High School's AP Policy

Important Reminders:

  • Students who miss the scheduled exam due to being late or absent will be charged $45 for an unused exam fee.
  • Final Registration ends on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11:00 PM - No Exceptions!
  • The last day to cancel an exam, and receive a full refund is Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
  • Registrations that have not been paid in full by Friday, March 1, 2024 at 10:00 PM will be cancelled.
  • Payment Plan option is available through the Total Registration site. A minimum of $50 per exam is due with a $2.75 fee per transaction by November 1, 2023 to avoid a late fee. Balance dues must be paid in full by March 1, 2024.

 

Students need to report to the testing site no later than 7:30 A.M.  or 11:30 A.M. (depending on exam start time) to get in line to check in (if students  have 0 period, they go to their 0 period class, but leave early to go to the testing center; the 0 period teacher will have been alerted about this ahead of time).  DON'T BE LATE! If you are late, you will not be allowed in the testing room and you will forfeit your AP Exam Fee and pay the $45 unused exam fee.

If you have an afternoon exam please make arrangemnts with your work schdule and transportation home. Depending on the exam you may be in testing until 4:00pm.

Students MUST bring their ID cards, a couple of blue or black pens, a bunch of sharpened #2 pencils, and an eraser (NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED IN THE TESTING ROOM—NO EXCEPTIONS!!!).  Water and small snacks will be permitted.

During the test, students are NOT allowed to talk to or communicate to anyone in any way.  Students,make sure to sit in your assigned seats.

After the test is completely over and students leave the testing center, they must NOT TALK about ANY PARTS of the test to ANYONE.  You are NEVER allowed to talk about the multiple choice questions.  Eventually, you may be able to talk about the essay questions that the College Board releases. 

 

Testing Strategy Reminders: 

  • Listen carefully to all directions.
  • Read everything--directions, questions, prompts, etc.--carefully.
  • DON'T FINISH EARLY! Use ALL of the time on EVERY part of the test! 
  • Go back and check things as you have time.  Be careful not to second guess yourself; just make sure you are accurate and thorough.
  • DO YOUR VERY BEST!!!

 

REMINDERS ABOUT WHAT AND WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE TEST

Please be sure to BRING the following items to the test site:

  • Student I.D. card
  • Sharpened pencils (to use on the Multiple Choice section of the test)
  • Pens with dark blue or black ink (to use on the Free Response Essay part of the test)
  • Bottled water is allowed.

The following items are NOT allowed in the test site:

  • Cell phones***
  • Electronic devices***
  • Hot Food/hot beverages/soda     

Do NOT bring any of the listed items above to the test site! 

***If a student is found with a cell phone or electronic device during ANY portion of the test, that student's test will be confiscated, and invalidated with the College Board.  NO CELL PHONES OR ELECTRONIC DEVICES ALLOWED!
