Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by Norwalk High School and the College Board:

Students will not be admitted to the exam room once the exam has started. Students must report to their assigned exam room at the time communicated by Norwalk High School. Students should arrive early enough to complete check-in and be seated before the scheduled start time.

During scheduled or unscheduled breaks, students may not consult textbooks, notes, or other prohibited materials, or communicate with other students about the exam. Electronic or communication devices may not be used during breaks.

Students may not leave the building during the exam unless directed or permitted by the AP Coordinator or exam proctor.

Students must follow all instructions provided by the exam proctor and all College Board testing policies.
EXAM LENGTH
Most AP Exams are approximately three hours long, although the exact length varies by exam. Additional time is needed for instructions, seating, and breaks. Students should plan to be at school for at least FOUR hours for each exam and should plan transportation and after-school activities accordingly.
Students are expected to remain in the exam room for the duration of the exam session. Students may not leave early unless permitted under College Board testing procedures.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

No. 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils) for multiple-choice answer sheets.

Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas of the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions on exams that require them.

A school-issued or government-issued photo ID, if requested by the school.

An acceptable calculator if one is permitted for your AP Exam. Students should review the College Board's calculator policy to determine whether a calculator is permitted and which calculators are acceptable for their specific exam.

Any other materials specifically permitted for your AP Exam.
WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

Electronic equipment or communication devices, including cell phones, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, or other devices capable of accessing the internet or communicating.

Cameras or other photographic equipment.

Watches that beep, make noise, have an alarm, or have communication capabilities.

Food or drinks, unless specifically permitted as an accommodation or by College Board testing procedures.
Students should leave prohibited items at home whenever possible. If a student brings a prohibited electronic device or other unauthorized item to the exam, the device may be collected and stored according to school procedures, and the student may be subject to College Board consequences.
Students are responsible for reviewing the College Board's current exam-day policies before their AP Exam.
