Denton High School's AP Policy

Please read the DHS AP Exam policies and procedures below.

Payments:

• There are two payment options
  • pay in full by November 1st - online with credit or debit card or cash/check made to DHS brought to Sherry Weatherley in the testing office in the connector hallway 
  • or pay a $40 deposit per exam by November 1st. If you choose the deposit option, all remaining balance is due by February 14th or exams will be cancelled. No refunds once exams are ordered.
  • Payments may be made with cash or check made to DHS or online HERE. 

On Exam Day:

• Exams will begin promptly at 8:00am/12:00pm.  You are required to arrive at the testing room 15 minutes prior to your exam.  Students are NOT allowed to begin the exam after the official time has begun. Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended.  Notify coaches and employers in advance.  Students are responsible for making transportation arrangements.

• Each student's test schedule with specific locations for each exam will be emailed to parents and students two weeks prior to exams.  Exam dates and times are listed at registration.  Please make note of these in advance.

• No refunds are given for missed exams.  There are no make-up options for AP exams.  Students who arrive late and are not allowed to test will not recieve a refund as tests have already been ordered and purchased.

• Bring your School ID, pencils, black pens, and a calculator (if allowed on exam).You may also bring a clean snack and a drink with a lid. Dress comfortably and in layers.

• No phones or smartwatches! Students will be required to place all bags at the front of the testing room and cell phones must be turned off and left in the student’s bag or with the test proctor. Students observed with any electronic communication device during testing or during breaks will be dismissed from the exam room and scores will be cancelled.
