AP Exams are administered at KMHS.
In light of the availability of online AP courses, the KMHS policy regarding students choosing to take online AP courses is as follows:
- Students who elect to take AP online classes offered at KMHS will use the online teacher as their resource.
- Students must join an "Exam Only" AP Classroom (reach out to Mrs. Wood for a join code). Without joining the Exam Only AP Classroom, ordering an AP Exam for an online AP course is impossible.
- In addition to AP courses taught at KMHS, the list of online courses for which students may complete AP exams is as follows:
- AP French
- AP Physics 2
- AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
- AP European History
- AP Art History
- The following exams are not available through KMHS but may be offered at another CCSD high school.
- AP Chinese
- AP Latin
- AP Japanese
- AP German Language
- AP Italian Language
- AP Spanish Literature
Students will not be admitted late to an AP Exam; therefore, arriving at either 7:30 AM or 11:30 AM (depending upon exam time) is essential. Students may not leave exams until the end of the allotted testing time, so do not make plans for work or anything else. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISMISS EARLY.
Students should bring the following items to the exam
- CCSD issued laptop (no student will be permitted to use a personal device for testing
- Photo ID. A picture of your ID on a cell phone is not acceptable. You must take your photo ID into the testing room.
- Several sharpened No. 2 pencils (with erasers) for all multiple-choice answer sheets (No mechanical pencils are allowed)
- Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams
- A watch (in case your exam room does not have a clock that you can see easily)
- A calculator with the necessary capabilities for a Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, or Statistics Exam (Please review the College Board's Calculator Policies)
- A ruler or straightedge for taking a Physics Exam will be provided for you.
- Your social security number for identification purposes (optional)- If you provide it, the number will appear on your AP Grade Reports
- Layered clothing in case it’s too cold or hot in the testing room.
Students may not bring the following to the exam:
- Cellular phones, pagers, MP3 players, FitBits, smart watches, airpods, headphones, AI Glasses, etc. (any device that can connect to the internet)– LEAVE these items in your car or at home!
- Books, compasses, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, or notes
- Rulers and straightedges (except as noted above)
- Scratch paper (Scratch paper will be provided for all exams except AP Spanish. Students will use the AP Spanish booklet as their scratch paper)
- Computers (except as noted for students with disabilities) or calculators (except as noted above)
- Watches that beep or have an alarm
- Portable listening or recording devices (even with headphones) or photographic equipment
- Clothing with subject-related information
- No food or drinks (including water) are permitted in the examination room

AP Exam scores will be available online only through the student's College Board account.
