Hillsborough High School's AP Policy

Thank you for registering for AP Exams at Hillsborough High School. Please bookmark the HHS AP Exam Info website, which contains important information about exams.

Please be aware of the following details about AP Exams:

Morning Exams: Begin at the start of the school day and typically end between 11:30 and 12:30, depending upon the exam.

Afternoon Exams: Begin between 11:30 and 12:30, as soon as morning exams are over. Exams ALWAYS end after the school day is over. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation home. If you have practice after school, it is your responsibility to notify your coach/advisor that you will be late or not present. If you have a regular season game on test day, you should plan to miss the game. If you have a tournament, please contact Mrs. Thomson by email at athomson@htps.us as soon as possible to see if alternate plans can be made.

Students will receive more information about lunch and each day's schedule closer to the exam date.

EXAM ATTENDANCE POLICY

• If you are sick on the day of the exam, please immediately contact Mrs. Thomson by email at athomson@htps.us to discuss whether it may be possible to take a late exam.
• If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent taking the test at the assigned date/time please contact Mrs. Thomson as soon as you become aware of the conflict to discuss whether it may be possible to take a late exam. The list of acceptable circumstances permitted by the College Board are short, and late exam requests may be denied. Requests made after May 1 are unlikely to be approved.
• If you are an athlete, please carefully check your athletic schedule during the AP exam period.
• Please arrive promptly. No students will be allowed admittance to exam rooms once the exam has started. Students who are late will forfeit their exam fee, and will not be permitted to test.
• Students may not leave the building during the exam and must stay for the entire duration of the exam.
