Lutheran South Academy's AP Policy

The decision whether to take an AP exam is left to the individual student and his/her parents.  However, LSA does encourage students enrolled in AP courses to attempt the exams.  Many students will be able to earn college credit from their AP tests and research indicates students who take AP exams generally perform better in college.

Students who desire to test:

  • Should register online at by the February 28 deadline.
  • Pay the full $94 fee per test by March 9.
  • Understand that once their order is placed, $25 per test is non-refundable.
  • Will incur late fees for registering late or failing to meet the payment deadline.
  • Notify Mrs. Choate of any conflicts or questions.
  • Contact Mrs. Choate by April 26 if they want to cancel a test and receive a partial refund.
  • May only have accommodations officially approved by College Board.
  • Be at the designated place at the designated time on test days.
  • Realize that afternoon exams will extend beyond the regular school day.
