Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by this school and the College Board:
AP exams are optional. However, when agreeing to take advantage of them students must understand that PLHS takes these very seriously and abide by the College Board's policies and procedures. PLHS devotes time and resources in an attempt to provide the most optimal environment for everybody. This environment must also ensure that there are no unfair advantages. Proctors and/or the AP Coordinator will dismiss a student if cases of a major violation.
General Expectations:
-
Communication comes through different forms. Students are expected to be responsible for information communicated and to seek clarification when necessary. In most cases the classroom teacher will relay information. Vital communication will come via email from the AP Coordinator.
-
Students should know the rules, deadlines, schedule, and eventually their testing location.
-
Students should know the exam format for their subject (Fully Digital or Hybrid).
-
Students will be required to use the Bluebook testing app and will have an opportunity to learn how to access and navigate this app on their Chromebooks.
Exam Day
-
Once checked in, the student will not be permitted to have access to a phone or any unapproved electronic device.
-
No students will be allowed admittance to exam rooms once the exam has started.
-

Missing an Exam
If the student misses an exam and would like to be considered for late testing, the student must contact the AP Coordinator as soon as possible. The College Board charges a $40 late fee when moving to the late exam date. If the absence was anticipated and communicated with the AP Coordinator, the $40 fee can be waived if the reason falls within the College Board’s accepted reasons for changing the date.
