Alliance Academy For Innovation's AP Policy

All AP Exams will be given at Alliance Academy for Innovation.  

  • Students will also be sent their testing schedule, testing rooms, and report times via the e-mailed supplied in Total Registration
  • Exam rosters and location will also be posted on the gym door the morning of each AP exam
  • Students MUST report by 7:30 a.m. for morning exams and 11:30 a.m. for afternoon exams. 
  • If you have an afternoon exam, please eat something before the exam as it will not end until approximately 4:00 p.m. 
    • Students may bring snacks in clear plastic bags only. The snacks must remain outside the testing area.
  • Students who ride the bus to/from school will need to make alternate transportation plans on exam days.

Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by this school and the College Board:

  • A Photo ID will be required for each exam a student takes. See Photo ID Checklist
  • Students will not be allowed to bring prohibited technology like cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses, digital watches, or any other device that will give an unfiar advantages.
    • Students found with any prohibited technology on their person will be:
      • dismissed from testing
      • College Board will be notified and likely a student's AP scores will be cancelled
      • Students will face disciplinary consequences for Academic Misconduct at Alliance 
  • No students will be allowed admittance to exam rooms once exam has started.
  • During scheduled or unscheduled breaks during exams, students are not allowed to consult textbooks, notes, or ask questions to teachers or other students. Do not use electronic or communication devices during breaks.
  • Do not leave the building during the exam.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

    • Government-issued or school-issued photo I.D.
    • No. 2 pencils (no mechanical) for multiple-choice answer sheet
    • Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams
    • Calculators - If you are allowed to use a calculator on your AP Exam, review the College Board’s calculator policies to make sure you bring an acceptable calculator for your particular exam.

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

    • Electronic equipment or communication devices, like cell phones, smartphones, tablets or anything else that can access the internet
    • Cameras or other photographic equipment
    • Watches that beep or have an alarm (or smart watches)
    • No food or drink in the exam room, including bottled water
