Marietta High School's AP Policy

The off-site location for the 2025 AP Exams is still being coordinated.  More detailed information will be made available through your AP teacher and Dr. Brandon Mann a little closer to the time the exams are scheduled to begin.

You should not bring the following to the exam room:

  • Cell phones, digital cameras, personal digital assistants (PDAs), BlackBerry smartphones, Bluetooth-enabled devices, MP3 players, e-mail/messaging devices, or any other electronic or communication devices, computers or calculators (except as noted for specific exams)
  • Books, compasses, mechanical pencils, colored pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters, notes, and rulers and straightedges (except as noted for specific exams)
  • Scratch paper
  • Reference guides, keyboard maps, or other typing instructions
  • Watches that beep or have an alarm
  • Portable listening or recording devices (even with headphones) or photographic equipment
  • Food or drink
  • Clothing with subject-related information

Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended; do not ask to leave early if you finish before the end of the exam. If you play a sport or have a job, it is your responsibility to inform your coach or employer of your AP Exam obligation, and arrangements should be made accordingly.

Students who arrive after testing materials have been distributed will not be allowed to enter the testing room or begin the test.  Refunds will not be given to students who are late to an exam or elect not to take the exam after the deadline for refunds.

Get a good night’s rest before your exam, and eat a healthy breakfast. It is advisable to bring a sweater or jacket, in case the room temperature is below your comfort level.

You are required to abide by the policies of both the College Board and Marietta High School during the exam period. Any misconduct will be reported and could jeopardize your AP Exam score.

Be sure to review the  Bulletin for AP Students and Parents online at www.collegeboard.com.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact Dr. Brandon Mann at Marietta High School.
