Los Altos High School - AP Policies

  • Report time for morning tests is 7:30 am, Report time for afternoon tests is 11:45 am (subject to change).  Please note that afternoon testing start times will vary depending on the timing of morning exams, how quickly the testing space can be cleared and setup up, etc.  Your patience is appreciated.

  • Refer to the AP Student Guide for details on acceptable calculators.

  • If you are taking multiple AP tests in one day, please come prepared with your own snacks and water.

    • Water is allowed in your testing location, but must be placed on the floor under your seat.

    • Please label snacks and place in bin outside of testing location before entering. Food is not allowed inside the testing location.

  • Electronic Devices are sticktly prohibited in the testing locations 

    • Cell phones, digital watches, and smart watches are not allowed. Analog watches are allowed, but must be placed on the table in front of you

    • If a cell phone or smart watch is found on you during an exam, it will be confiscated and you will be dismissed immediately.

  • You may NOT, at any time, go through your backpack while an exam is in progress.

    • If you need any medication or personal hygiene products during the exam, they need to be placed on the desk/ table in front of you before the exam has begun.

  • You will have breaks during the exam at which point you may use the restroom or eat your snack. 

    • You may use the restroom during the exam, one at a time with proctor permission, but time will not stop for you so plan accordingly.
