Harford Technical High School's AP Policy

**Additional information will be shared with students and parents/guardians as we approach the exam date(s).  This will occur via email and AP teachers.**

SIGNING UP FOR AN EXAM AND FAILING TO TAKE IT:

Students who sign up to take an AP exam and:

  • drop the course and do not notify Mrs. Donlick will be assessed a $42 per exam fee (this includes FARMS students as well as students in 11th and 12th grade).  This fee will become an obligation at the end of the school year if not paid by a date yet to be determined.

NEW - This year College Board is only offering exams in digital or hybrid format.  For digital exams students will do them completely online using the Bluebook app.  For hybrid exams students will view all of the exam questions in Bluebook but will answer free-response questions in a paper booklet as usual.

WHAT TO BRING TO DIGITAL/HYBRID AP EXAM:

  • Computer - must be your HCPS school issued computer.  Be sure it is fully charged.  You may not test on a personal device as certain technology is required.
  • Charger
  • Something to write with (pen or pencil)
  • Approved calculator for AP Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, or Statistics Exam

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO THE AP EXAM:

  • Cell phones, smart phones, electronic equipment (unless you are taking a digital exam), MP3 players, IPods, or cameras, any electronic communication device
  • Mechanical pencils, highlighters, colored pencils, correction fluid
  • Scratch paper
  • "Smart" watches or watches that have an alarm or beep
  • Food or drink
  • Ear plugs
