Granada Hills Charter High School's AP Policy

The following policies apply to AP exams administered in person by Granada Hills Charter. Students will be notified of any policies for exams administered offsite.

  • Students who fail to strictly adhere to all secured testing rules and procedures will be subject to school disciplinary action such as disqualification from testing, suspension, expulsion, and/or other academic consequences as outlined in the GHC Academic Integrity Policy.
  • Granada Hills Charter's Cell Phone Policy will be strictly enforced during the administration of AP exams. Violation of the policy will result in cancellation of the exam, official reporting to the College Board, and school disciplinary action. Students are advised to turn off and store their cell phones and other electronic devices or items not required for AP testing in their lockers,  prior to reporting to the testing location.
  • The school will provide students with the appropriate pens and no. 2 pencils with erasers. Writing instruments not allowed by the College Board will not be permitted for testing, and should not be taken to the testing room.
  • Certain calculators are allowed in the testing room. Please read the College Board's Calculator Policy for the applicable AP exam(s) prior to testing day at: http://goo.gl/dmttay .
  • By completing the exam registration and ordering process, students and parents agree to all of the terms and conditions set forth in the College Board 2020-21 Bulletin for AP Students and Parents. Copies of the Bulletin will be available online on the College Board website by late December 2020.

Students who do not show on time on the scheduled date of the exam will not be admitted into the testing room.

Exam fees paid by students who do not show, or who arrive late and therefore not admitted to take the exam, will NOT be refunded. An additional unused exam fee may be charged against the student's account as school debt, regardless of the student's eligibility for the National School Lunch Program.

Please contact Mr. John Teves in the Office of Instruction at jteves@ghctk12.com to request any further information on the school's AP exam policy.
