Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Little Elm High School encourages all students to take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.
For the 2026 AP exams, students at Little Elm High School will be registering online. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed from any computer with internet access.
This year, each AP exam costs $94 (or $28 for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch)
College Board charges a $40 late registration fee (per exam). Students wishing to register for Fall course AP exams after November 2, 2025 will have to pay that additional $40 late fee (per exam). Late ordering is not available for Spring courses.
Homeschooled students may request to take AP exams at LEHS by contacting Megan Heller at mheller@leisd.ws. The cost for homeschooled students is also $94 per exam.
Online Exam registration for Fall AP courses will begin on Sept. 30, 2025 and end on Nov. 2, 2025. Exam registration for Spring courses will begin in January, and end on Feb. 22, 2026. In order to register, students should visit www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/444198. To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions. Registration is not complete until students have printed the pdf of the confirmation page that is provided at the end. We know that parents may want to register their students for exams, but we strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered.
Here are the important dates for the registration process:
- Sept. 30, 2025 - Registration Begins for Fall AP courses
- Nov. 2, 2025 - Registration Ends for Fall AP courses (and late fee begins)
- Nov. 2, 2025 - Fall Registrations that have not been paid for will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered (until the exam fee and $40 late fee have been paid)
- Jan. 14, 2026 - Registration Begins for Spring AP courses
- Feb. 22, 2026 - Registration Ends for Spring AP courses
- Feb. 22, 2026 - Spring Registrations that have not been paid for will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered
