Northville High School's AP Policy

Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules set forth by this school and the College Board:

Here is a list of recommendations to help you succeed in taking your Advanced Placement Exams. If you have any questions before the exam, please ask either your teacher or Ms. Kennedy, the AP Coordinator, at kennedyka@northvilleschools.org   

Pack your necessary supplies the night before!

  • Pencils sharpened (no mechanical pencils)
  • Pens (blue or black ink)
  • Calculator for specific tests (approved by College Board)
  • Ruler or straightedge for physics

NO CELL PHONES, BAGS, OR PURSES ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING

  • You must bring a photo id
  • Again, o cell phones are allowed in the building. Make sure to leave it at home or in the car. You will be dismissed and unable to test if you have a cell phone with you during testing.
  • Ensure you are there at least 30 minutes before the official start time. As you plan your route from home to Ward Church, consider traffic. There are no make-ups if you show up late!
  • Morning Exams:     Check-In is at 7:15 am.
  • Afternoon exams: Check-In is at 11:30 am.

Please note that the afternoon test may last until 4:00 pm (sometimes 5 pm or later for the language exams).

  • Get a good night's sleep!
  • Do NOT post about AP Testing on social media (before and after the exam). College Board does check for this! Your scores will be in jeopardy of cancellation if you post any information regarding your test.
