Tomball Memorial High School's AP Policy

Please be aware of the AP exam policies and rules that are set forth by this school and the College Board:

CHECK IN PROCEDURES

  • Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled exam time. 
    • For 8:00 AM exams, arrive no later than 7:20 AM
    • For 12:00 PM exams, arrive no later than 11:20 AM.
  • All electronics must be powered off and will be stored in a monitored bin. 
  • Have your College Board  approved ID- school ID, driver's license, Texas ID, passport- in your hand for check in
  • No students will be allowed admittance to exam rooms once the exam has started.
  • During scheduled or unscheduled breaks, students are not allowed to use electronic or communication devices, consult textbooks, notes, or ask questions to teachers or other students. 
  • Snacks/drinks are allowed outside of the testing room during breaks only. 
  • Do not leave the building during the exam.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM ROOM:

  • No. 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils) for multiple-choice answer sheets or drafting
  • Pens with black or dark blue ink for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions on most exams
  • Government-issued or school-issued photo I.D.
  • Calculators - If you are allowed to use a calculator on your AP Exam, review the College Board’s calculator policies to make sure you bring an acceptable calculator for your particular exam.

WHAT NOT TO BRING INTO THE EXAM ROOM:

  • Electronic equipment or communication devices, like cell phones, smartphones, tablets or anything else that can access the internet
  • Cameras or other photographic equipment
  • Watches that beep or have an alarm (or smart watches)
