Advanced Placement Exam Registration

ATTENTION! Students and guardians should complete this registration/enrollment together. This is a two-step process, and both steps MUST be completed to access the AP Classroom resources and/or order AP Exams. The entire process (both steps) can be completed in a single sitting in approximately 10 minutes.

  1. Enroll all your AP courses and exams in the College Board's MyAP system. Students may have already done this step in class with their AP teacher. This step must be completed before paying for an exam.
  2. Complete the AP course registration process in Total Registration AND the payment to purchase your exam through Total Registration, which begins below.

Students taking AP courses/exams at San Marcos High School must enroll/register here by 11:59 am, March 6, 2026. There is no cost for enrolling in AP courses, but the 2026 AP Exams cost $103 per exam.

Exams will not be ordered if both steps are not completed.

San Marcos High School is excited to offer families the ability to pay their exam fees online at the time of registration. Please ensure that you have a credit or debit card available before starting the registration process.

AP exams registrations that are not fully paid by Friday, March 6, 2026 will be canceled and exams will not be ordered.
