Advanced Placement Exam Registration

ATTENTION! Students and guardians should complete this registration together. This is a two-step process and both steps MUST be completed in order for your school to order your exams.

Step 1: Students pay for exams through Total Registration by November 3rd.

  • Students must create an account using Total Registration www.totalregistration.net/AP/233603. You must use the email associated with your College Board and AP Classroom account!
  • The hard deadline to avoid the $40 late fee is November 3rd.
  • The cost of a single exam is $105. 
  • A $40 late fee (per exam) is automatically enabled after November 3rd.
    • This is a College Board imposed fee.
  • Second semester AP courses are not subject to late fees. Enrollments for course, exam and payment fees for second semester AP courses occurs at the start of second semester. More information to come in February.

Step 2: Enroll in every AP course section using the join codes provided by teachers

  • Each student must create one College Board account (most students should already have an account).
  • ALL students must register for each AP course using the unique join codes for each course.
  • During the registration process for the class, students will automatically be registered for the exam.

Exam-Only: To submit a request for exam-only fill out the form at the following link https://forms.office.com/r/Hvze1wBsze.

A confirmation page indicates that the first step has been completed. The confirmation page will include the information needed to complete the second step of enrolling courses/exams in the College Board's system, MyAP.CollegeBoard.org. This step should be completed right away as exams will not be ordered if both steps are not completed.

Troy High School is excited to offer families the ability to pay their exam fees online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration.

AP exams registrations that are not fully paid by Tuesday, March 3, 2026 will be canceled and exams will not be ordered.
