THE REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Students and guardians should complete this registration/enrollment process together.

Registering for AP courses and exams is a two-step process. Both steps must be completed to access AP Classroom resources and to have AP Exams ordered. The entire process can be done in one sitting and takes about 10 minutes.

Step 1: Register & Pay in Total Registration

1. Complete the registration process on this website.

  • Mrs. Wingerd is able to reset Total Registration passwords. Please email her at carly.wingerd@hcps.org to request a Total Registration password reset.

2. Pay your exam fees online at the time of registration (cash, checks, and money orders are not accepted at school).

  • The cost of each 2027 AP Exam is $104.00.
  • In this step, students will indicate whether they are eligible for a fee waiver (based on grade level and/or FARMS).
    • If you select "YES" indicating that you do qualify for FARMS and/or are an 11th/12th grader, your registration will be placed in a queue for Mrs. Wingerd to approve or deny based on the information EDHS has in our system. Students who qualify will not be charged for the exam(s) and will receive a confirmation email once verified by Mrs. Wingerd. The confirmation page will include the join codes needed for Step 2.
    • If you select "NO" indicating that you do not qualify for FARMS and/or are not an 11th/12th grader, you will be prompted to pay via credit card. Once payment is recieved, Total Registration will produce a confirmation page that will include the join codes you need for Step 2.

Step 2: Enroll in My AP Classroom (College Board)

1. Go to MyAP.CollegeBoard.org.

2. Log in with your College Board student account (the same account used for AP, PSAT, or SAT). If you don’t have one, create a new account. Do not create duplicate accounts.

  • Mrs. Wingerd is unable to reset College Board accounts. You can try the password reset feature on the College Board website (reset emails tend to land in junk mail folders) or call College Board between 9 AM and 6 PM at 1-866-630-9305.

3. Use the join codes from your confirmation page to enroll in all your AP courses and exams.

    • Students with extended time may miss all four scheduled lunches for the day. They can bring a bagged lunch from homer or request one from the cafeteria and eat once they finish the exam. Please email Mrs. Wingerd at carly.wingerd@hcps.org to request a bagged lunch from the cafeteria.
